In German class, you learn that “Hallo” is the common way to say hi. Then you come to Vorarlberg and suddenly you’re greeted with different forms like “Hoi,” “Zeawas,” or “Habidere.” 👋
And that’s probably one of the easiest parts of the dialect in Vorarlberg! 😅
That’s why we organised a workshop called “A glimpse into the Vorarlberg dialect” to give expats a first feel for the unique aspects of the local language. 💬✨
Hopefully, many of our expats—despite their good German skills—now feel less like they’re in a place with a foreign language. 🌍
